Obtain Free Hillsborough County Mugshots Through the Sheriff’s Office
Mugshots are police photographs of individuals taken just after they were arrested. They are included in the jail records of these arrested individuals and are considered public information. This makes the mugshots available to be viewed online and can be requested from the official custodian of these records.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is the official custodian of all arrest records within the county. They provide a jail roster available online, which lists the information of individuals currently in jail.1 This database is updated every 30 minutes, and each record will be shown until 90 days after the release date, except if it’s expunged or sealed before that.
To search the database, interested individuals will need to provide the first and last name of the person they are looking for. To narrow down the search result, they may also provide other information they may know, such as the booking number, booking date, release date, race, gender, and date of birth.
The search results can be shown with the current inmates only or with arrest details showing the following information: booking name, race, sex, date of birth (DOB), arrest and booking date, charges, and booking number with a link routing more details – including the offender’s mugshot.
